Grameenphone has signed an exclusive agreement with DG Infotech to provide them secured connectivity solutions under the Business Solutions package.
DG Infotech is a multinational organization operating in more than five countries in South East Asia and Middle East. One of their focus areas is mobile e-payment technology connected to banking transaction systems. In Bangladesh they are currently working with Prime Bank Ltd. to take the banking service at peoples’ doorsteps. To implement this project nationwide, they have signed this exclusive agreement to acquire 12,000 GP Connect connections from Grameenphone. The client will also sign an exclusive agreement with Grameenphone to deploy Points of Sales terminals across the country.
Comprising of modern mobile telecommunications services for supporting any business needs, Business Solutions provides voice, text messaging & mobile data, and internet services to Grameenphone’s business clients. In addition to this, GP Connect service will provide DG Infotech a complete and secured Mobile Office Solution which includes mobile email, high-speed data access, mobile fax, and many more; providing them the freedom to work from anywhere within Grameenphone’s wide coverage area.
The agreement was signed by Syed Javed Iqbal, Group Director, DG Infotech and Tor Harald Stromsnes, Head of Direct Sales, Grameenphone Ltd., on behalf of their respective organizations.

Ferdous Alom Khan, General Manager; Abu Issa Mainuddin, General Manager; Masud Parvez, Deputy General Manager; M. Arifur Rahman, Manager; and Md. Sabbir Islam Asif, Specialist of Grameenphone Ltd. were present during the signing ceremony.
